The Greener Diamond was created by diamond consumers, just like you.  It is our way of giving back and repairing communities that have suffered and continue to suffer for our love of diamonds. The Greener Diamond and MiaDonna & Company were created together, to work as a system, towards the common goal of bringing the beauty of love back to diamonds by repairing the damage caused in the wake of the unethical harvesting of diamonds, gems and precious metals. The idea for The Greener Diamond came about in 2005 when founder, Anna-Mieke Anderson, was educated on the truth about her own diamond engagement ring and started sponsoring an 8 year old boy in Liberia, Africa. It was through their letters that the true idea of MiaDonna® and The Greener Diamond was born.
